Aero India 2025 Causes Massive Traffic Snarls In Bengaluru

The Silicon Valley of India, better known as Bengaluru, is facing severe and recurring traffic jams at Aero India 2025, compelling the Airport to negotiate city traffic with massive crowds and unsustainable headways, resulting in heavy congestion. The Aero extravaganza, which took off on February 10 at the Yelahanka Air Force Base, has caused enough traffic snarls that the only place that has been severely affected is the city’s northern part. The city’s ability to be a practicing and great international spot was in dubiety when commuters and delegates, instead of getting to event points or meetings, were just walking on the roads in queues.

The unscheduled day-2 of Aero India 2025 saw pups and their mothers stuck for hours on roads leading to the venue. Numerous attendees’ outcries on social media only corroborated the general mood of those who were stuck. Sporting a stylish dark suit, business delegate Vikram Limsay swiftly shared his feelings on the unveiling of X, stating, “#AeroIndia2025 trying to reach for the last 3 hours as a business delegate .. pathetic traffic jam & traffic management.” However, Bengaluru’s plan to build international infrastructure has been questioned and dissected at the same time.

Located in the IT capital, the traffic jam faces both those people interested in attending the air show and the passengers traveling to Kempegowda International Airport. The traffic jam has become a huge problem not just for those willing to attend the airshow but for those who, by the way, travel to Kempegowda International Airport. To handle this situation, the traffic cops sent an advisory to the people of Bengaluru, reminding them to avoid places like Hebbal and Yelahanka, which are overpacked roads during these periods. In its place, they suggested resorting to the Hennur Cross-Bagalur option. The suddenly irreverent part in the carpool belt has left many without their preparations and has shown the municipality that they need better urban planning and traffic management plans, and ways of handling the rush in the city.

As part of the ongoing Aero India 2025 event, which will continue till 14th February, the city officials and the event organizers are in a fix and are on a one-to-one to resort to immediately actionable steps to ward off the traffic issue. The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) filled with a good heart has incorporated the idea of providing regular and on time shuttle services from identified parking areas to the venue but given the tremendous number of participants leaves the current infrastructure hanging in the balance. The ever-increasing traffic snarls act as a reminder for Bengaluru’s authorities and a wake-up call for them to realize the rapidly growing need for a well-thought traffic management plan as well as new-age transport systems which can easily handle the increased activity in the future during events similar to this.
