However, a zero vehicle zone has been declared a day before the holy bath starts on Tuesday at 4 a.m. at the entire fair, indeed, for the first time.

Temporary traffic arrangements, created to ensure the safe passage of the pilgrims till the next Wednesday morning, are to include certain parking zones depending on vehicles’ arrival route. The entire city will be declared a no-vehicle zone starting from 5 pm unless necessary services are to be placed. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, took it upon himself to check if everything for Maghi Purnima was in order. The CM convened a meeting of police and civic officials on Monday night, during which he was of the view that the issue is extremely delicate but that traffic should be organized so no congestion will take place.
