Katja Haase, marketing manager, Kunene River Lodge, explained, “The lodge is back up and running. The campsites are up and are also open. The roads from Ruacana and Opuwo are suitable for high-clearance 4x4s, but we suggest that for the next one to two weeks, guests who are driving up should know how to drive a 4x4 and should drive very slowly.”
Kunene River Lodge is situated in the far north of Namibia on the banks of the Kunene River, which forms the border to Angola.
Compared to the prevailing dry conditions of Namibia, Kunene River Lodge is a green oasis and water is abundant.
