South African Airways Introduces new Heathrow Services

South African Airways has announced plans to introduce its new Airbus A330-300 aircraft on its route from Johannesburg to London Heathrow from March 25.

Additionally, the airline also decided to adjust frequencies on the route to a single daily service, due to be effective from April 20, replacing the double daily service currently operating.

“Our announcement to introduce the new A330-300 on the very competitive London route next month is exciting and positive news for our customers,” said Vuyani Jarana, CEO, South African Airlines.

The Airbus A330-300 offers state-of-the-art technology and has capacity for 249 passengers, with 46 in business class and 203 in economy class. The plans has been designed to be quieter than previous generation aircraft, equipped with advanced avionics and Rolls-Royce Trent engines, resulting in a lower fuel burn.
