EgyptAir and TAP Expand Codeshare Agreement

EgyptAir and TAP Air Portugal have agreed to strengthen their cooperation by expanding the current codeshare agreement previously agreed upon by both the Star Alliance members.

“The expanded codeshare agreement with our partner airline aims at giving our customers a better access to new horizons beyond EgyptAir’s network," commented Sherif Ezzat, CEO, EgyptAir.

Both carriers’ codeshare expansion sees the inclusion of new connections, enhancing the first phase of the agreement which enabled EgyptAir customers to use TAP flights to Lisbon via Rome and Milan, and Madrid and Barcelona and vice versa.

The extended agreement will enable EgyptAir to put its code on TAP flights via more intermediate major European hubs, including to and from; Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Munich, Geneva and Vienna.
Furthermore, Egypt’s national carrier will place its code on TAP flights to Porto via Amsterdam and from Porto to Vienna.
