Following Wesgro’s meetings with Knysna Municipality, it has been agreed in-principle that the Agency, together with the local tourism industry, will assist the Council to deliver on their constitutional mandate for tourism promotion and destination marketing, with a target start-date of November 01.
Once the contracts are signed, the first order of business on November 01 will be to ensure the tourism office at 40 Main Road is open and ready to sell the destination as part of a renewed effort by the tourism industry, the municipality and Wesgro to promote all that Knysna has to offer as a destination.
Wesgro is the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for the Western Cape.
