Egypt Enticing Czech Travellers at Holiday World

Having welcomed more visitors from Czech Republic in 2017, Egypt further showcased its tourism offering at this year’s Prague-based Holiday World travel show.

Tourism traffic from Prague to Cairo increased by 125 percent to reach 203,000 tourists in 2107, compared to 90,000 in 2016.

Building on this impressive success, a large Egyptian Embassy pavilion grouped together several airlines, travel agencies and hotels at the show’s 27th edition. The pavilion was officially opened by Abdel Rahman Salah, Egypt’s ambassador to Czech Republic.

According to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, Holiday World is “[…] the most important event in the travel industry not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Central Europe.”

This year’s happening saw 634 exhibitors from more than 45 countries attend, while some 660 media outlet representatives reported on the event.
