Rio Hosts Latin America’s First Hyatt Place Hotel

Hyatt Place Macaé has become Latin America’s first ocean-front Hyatt Place property and the Brazil’s second Hyatt Place.

The new property boasts 141 rooms, fitted with a Cozy Corner and Sofa-Sleeper, the signature Hyatt Grand Bed, luxury bath toiletries and hi-tech amenities, including a 109cm flat screen TV. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and guest rooms, a Gallery Market offering packed grab-and-go items all day and night, and a Coffee to Cocktails Bar.

Guests can admire ocean views from a rooftop pool while a 24/7 gym features Life Fitness machines, free weights and exercise balls. There is also a round-the-clock business centre with remote printing and more than 148 m2 of flexible meeting and event space.

Joining Hyatt Place São José do Rio Preto, the new hotel is part of a larger master development agreement between Hyatt affiliates and Elandis to develop a total of nine Hyatt Place hotels across Brazil.

Luciano Julio, regional director, operations, Latin America, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, commented, “This opening will mark the fourth Hyatt property in the country and the Hyatt Place brand’s second hotel in Brazil.”
