Hyatt Makes El Salvador Debut

Hyatt Hotels Corporation added El Salvador to its portfolio after a Hyatt affiliate entered into a franchise agreement with LATAM Hotel Corporation.

Anticipated to welcome guests from the fourth quarter of this year, the 138-room Hyatt Centric San Salvador will be the first Hyatt hotel in El Salvador, and the fifth Hyatt Centric hotel in Latin America. The property will be located in Soho Cascadas, a mixed-use development project, and managed by GHL Hotels.

Designed as a base and starting point for savvy explorers seeking authentic local experiences, the address will join existing Hyatt Centric hotels in Guatemala City, Guatemala and Montevideo, Uruguay, and soon-to-open hotels in Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru.

George Vizer, senior vice president, franchise operations, Americas, Hyatt, noted, “Hyatt Centric San Salvador will boast an unbeatable location at the centre of the city within easy reach of the ocean and mountains, making it a launch pad for sightseeing, dining and experiencing everything that El Salvador has to offer.”
