Revenue passenger miles, or traffic, increased 7.5 percent year-over-year, while capacity, measured in available seat miles, grew by 5.4 percent over the same period.
WestJet welcomed an additional 147,000 guests in May, a year-over-year increase of 7.5 percent.

In May, WestJet also unveiled its new Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner livery, logo and cabin interior including the airline's first-ever business class cabin.
