MAC Recognised for Sustainability Efforts

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) has been recognised by Airports Council International – North America for completing the second step of carbon accreditation, a process to reduce carbon emissions and advance sustainability efforts at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Commenting on the achievement, Brian Ryks, CEO, MAC, said, “This certification by the leading industry programme for reducing carbon emissions demonstrates our commitment to operate MSP Airport in a sustainable manner.”

As part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, airports commit to reducing their emissions by making investments in the likes of heating and lighting efficiency technology, electric, hybrid or gas-powered vehicles and public transport incentives.
