Los Angeles Airports Celebrates National Volunteer Week

In honor of National Volunteer Recognition Week, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) proudly recognised the many volunteers and team members who regularly give back to the local community and serve the guests and staff at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport. These volunteers include greeters, help desk staff, and Pets Unstressing Passengers programme.

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration to promote and show appreciation for volunteerism and volunteering. This year’s recognition took place from April 15 - April 21.

“Every day at LAX, you will find people who are volunteering their time to ensure our guests have the best possible experience, all helping us fulfill our mission to provide an exceptional guest experience,” said Keith Wilschetz, deputy executive director, operations and emergency management.

LAWA’s volunteers include community members, concerned citizens, current employees and retired ones, all whose work has combined to make a difference throughout the local community.
