WTTC Global Summit to Focus on the Future

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) revealed that the focus of its 2018 Global Summit will be on the sector’s future, examining leadership, biometrics, crisis management and sustainable growth.

The event is heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 18 – 19, when industry leaders from the public and private sectors will discuss the theme of Our People, Our World, Our Future.

According to a recent WTTC announcement, leaders will debate how the sector is placed to create future sustainable jobs concerning transformational technology, increasing environmental pressures, and security concerns.

"This year's WTTC Global Summit will bring together CEOs, ministers and representatives of the highest level of international organisations around a very relevant programme that will highlight the enormous opportunity that travel and tourism offers our world,” stated Gloria Guevara Manzo, CEO, WTTC.

She said participants would also develop practical actions to ensure the sector was an agent of positive change. “A country that is full of tourism potential, Argentina is the ideal place to have this focussed, energetic and meaningful conversation,” concluded Manzo.
