Central-South America Hotel Data for April – STR

According to STR data, Central/South America hotel occupancy rose by 7.4 percent year over year to 58.5 percent in April.

Meanwhile, average daily rate (ADR) increased by 15.1 percent and RevPAR jumped 23.6 percent. Specifically, performance recovery continued in Brazil with occupancy rising by 8.4 percent to 55.7 percent while the country recorded an ADR increase of one percent. RevPAR was up by 9.6 percent.

The absolute occupancy and ADR levels were the highest for any April in STR’s Costa Rica database, where occupancy rose 8.1 percent to 78 percent. In addition, Costa Rica’s April ended with a 1.9 percent increase in ADR and a RevPAR rise of 10.1 percent.

Peru also resulted in an overall positive April, with an occupancy increase of 8.8 percent to 68.9 percent.
