Costa Rica to Open Trade Representative Office in Dubai

Aiming to enhance economic cooperation and boost trade and investment flows between Latin America and Dubai, Costa Rica has recently announced plans to open a new trade representative office in the emirate.

The new facility will be hosted by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and is expected to serve as a platform for promoting bilateral ties while also identifying opportunities in the Dubai market that Costa Rican companies can benefit from.

H.E. Hamad Buamim, CEO, DCCI, welcomed the announcement and noted that Dubai’s non-oil trade with Costa Rica reached USD23 million in 2016, adding that this volume will likely grow following the opening of the new trade office.
