Phocuswright Reveals US Travellers Travelling Trends

While more Americans travelled for leisure in 2017 compared to 2016, understanding what motivated these trips and how they took shape can be tricky, according to Phocuswright’s latest survey.

In addition to deciding where to go, travellers are faced with figuring out how much to spend, whom to travel with and how to get there.

Phocuswright fielded a consumer survey earlier this year targeting US adults who took at least one leisure trip at least 120 km from home in the past 12 months that included paid lodging and/or air travel. The survey revealed that travellers value the ease of getting to a destination. But Phocuswright’s latest survey also identified food and dining as an extremely important factor when choosing a destination.
