Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley Becoming a Cycling Hub

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is scheduled to, on June 23, play host to the first annual GranFondo Silicon Valley event, described as California’s newest and most exhilarating GranFondo, or a long-distance road bicycle ride.

Silicon Valley has, for decades, attracted cyclists of all levels due to its scenic routes, ideal road conditions, challenging climbs and year-round good weather.

The annual 120 km GranFondo and shortened 100 km PrestoFondo cycling events are now anticipated to transform Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto into a destination for cycling enthusiasts.

Specialised health-conscious menus, designated stretching or relaxing pre- and post-ride areas, and bicycle set-up and break down services will be provided by the hotel. Guests can also enjoy cycling routes surrounding the property or exercise on stationary bikes under covered cabanas on the rooftop pool deck.

Richard Lanaud, director, food and beverage, Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, has worked closely with Martín Morelli, executive chef, to develop a culinary programme for participants. The finish line celebration will feature street food style food stations reflecting the area’s culinary diversity.
