Puerto Vallarta to Host ATP Challenger Tour

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico will be home to an upcoming Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour event, Puerto Vallarta Open, set to be held from April 30 – May 05.

The first edition of the Puerto Vallarta Open will be played on the new outdoor hard courts of Parque Parota.

The tournament will be played on a hard surface with a best-of-three format for both singles and doubles matches.

The venue is easily accessible, and courts were built to accommodate the tournament and ATP’s strict international requirements.

In 1994, Puerto Vallarta held its first ATP Challenger Tour event and hosted additional Challenger and Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) events from 1996 to 1998.
