Graceland Launches Children’s Performing Arts Camp

Once home to rock n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, the Memphis, Tennessee-based Graceland estate has announced its first-ever Graceland Performing Arts Camp for children aged six to 15 for this summer.

While young participants are having fun during the day, parents and other family members will keep busy with Graceland activities, Memphis city tours, theatre movies and relaxing poolside at The Guest House, before reuniting with their children for family dinners and activities.

Graceland announced it had been working closely with the Presley family to develop a programme and curriculum that will see attendees learn acting, music and dance techniques alongside new friends from around the world.

Participants will learn from local and Broadway professionals as they explore their workshop creativity at Graceland Soundstage, on stage at The Guest House at Graceland Theater and on actual production sets featured within the acclaimed Sun Records television series documenting the birth of rock n’ roll.

Over the four days of activities, participants will develop their own showcase, culminating with an evening of performances at The Guest House Theater for family and friends.
