Jim Dailey has assumed the position of new director of Arkansas Tourism, the state’s official tourism platform.

Set to begin the role in January, 2018, Dailey served for more than 20 years as an elected official, 14 of those as mayor of Little Rock.

He currently works as a consultant of Flake & Kelley Commercial Real Estate, where he collaborates with Arkansas cities on retail business development, economic development, project management and other municipal issues.

In his new role, Dailey will lead the state’s efforts to increase visitation of travellers from across the globe and to enhance the image of the state.
