Michael MacDonnell has been named as the food and beverage director at The Raleigh, a Miami-based hotel.

With more than two decades of industry experience, he is considered to be an expert in mixology and service, and will work closely with the property’s head chef to complete the culinary leadership team.

MacDonnell has opened and operated more than 40 concepts across the US and his previous experience includes serving as director of beverage at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

In his new role, MacDonnell will oversee the property’s restaurant, bar and poolside service, initially focussing on refreshing the cocktail menu at Martini Bar.
