Cordis set to Become Auckland’s Biggest Hotel

Following a multi-million dollar refurbishment at Cordis, Auckland, Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group has announced fresh expansion plans that will make the hotel New Zealand’s largest, in terms of room count.

The additional tower, adjacent and connected to the existing hotel, is being designed to house an additional 250 premium rooms and Cordis signature suites, bringing total room inventory to 650.

The property’s new tower is scheduled to open in Q4 2020, in time for The America’s Cup and Asia Pacific Economic Forum (APEC), slated to be held in Auckland the following year.

The recently rebranded address will also have an extended event space, complemented by food and beverage enhancements, while the new Club Lounge will feature panoramic views that feature the harbour and Auckland Tower.
