Aiming to offer more advantages to passengers travelling between China and Portugal, Tap Portugal and Beijing Capital Airlines have recently unveiled plans to launch codeshare flights, effective from July 26.

The agreement will enable the Portuguese airline to provide new services to the Asian market, offering passengers travelling between Beijing or Hangzhou and Lisbon privileged intercontinental connections to several of its destinations.
According to Tourismo de Lisboa, Lisbon’s official tourism association, the numbers of Chinese tourists visiting Portugal increased 19 percent in 2016 compared to 2015, with 183,000 arrivals.

Fernando Pinto, executive president, TAP Portugal, highlighted that the agreement will intensify the relations between the two countries, either through tourism or business.
