Bangkok Airways and Oman Air Enter Codeshare Partnership

Bangkok Airways and Oman Air have signed a new codeshare agreement, effective April 01, to provide customers with an enhanced network to travel between Oman and several cities throughout Thailand.

The agreement sees Oman’s flagship carrier putting its WY designator code on Bangkok Airways domestic flights serving eight routes. These include roundtrip routes Bangkok-Chiang Rai, Bangkok-Chiang Mai, Bangkok-Phuket, Bangkok-Krabi, Bangkok-Lampang, Bangkok-Trat, Bangkok-Sukhothai and Bangkok-Samui.

This new codeshare partnership offers passengers enhanced connectivity and seamless connections to well-known destinations across Thailand, read a Bangkok Airways announcement, adding that Oman Air’s passengers travelling on the carrier would also enjoy the boutique airline’s services including lounge access and in-flight meals.

The agreement was signed on both airlines’ behalf by Pakorn Rattanarod, director, route profitability and alliance, Bangkok Airways, and Aboudy Nasser, senior vice president, network planning and revenue management, Oman Air.
