Vietjet has signed a strategic financing agreement with Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company, providing the carrier with the capital for acquisition of three new Airbus A321 aircraft worth USD348 million.

On the back of the agreement, the jets are expected to join the airline’s fleet this year, in line with its domestic and international network expansion plans.

The partnership will also encourage the companies’ cooperation in related management and operation fields.

Enhancing its multiple functions, the carrier has also signed a series of deals worth a total of USD4.7 billion for engines and components maintenance support, technical services, auxiliary power unit supply along with aircraft financing and purchasing, among others.
