During the event, Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president, Bagkok Airways, highlighted that the airline’s total 2017 revenue increased by 6.5 percent from 2016. Net profit was reported amounting to THB846.4 million (USD26.9 million), with the profit attributable to the company’s equity holders at THB787.9 million (USD25.1 million).
Total 2017 passenger numbers was 5.994 million passengers, a five percent increase from the previous year. In 2018, total revenue is expected to grow by 10 percent, with passenger numbers expected to grow by seven percent, while the passenger load factor this year is expected to be at 70 percent.
“As for our 2018 business outlook and direction, we will still focus on expanding our network to cover the most important destinations throughout Asia in order to facilitate our passengers and our codeshare partners,” noted Prasarttong-Osoth. “[...] As for aircraft delivery plans, we currently have a total of 38 aircraft in our fleet. We are expecting to receive two Airbus A319 [aircraft].”
