COTA Promotes its Natural Parks to Everyone

Council on the Ageing Tasmania (COTA) and Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service partnered to entice older Tasmanians to go out and enjoy the area’s national parks and reserves with family and friends this summer.

Many of the park tracks and sites are wheelchair friendly, and can be used for anything from a family picnic or leisurely stroll, to a week-long camping trip. The new partners have put together a brochure with low-cost ideas about what people can do at national parks.

COTA Tasmania and Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service also organised the #RethinkParks competition where people can potentially win one of five annual national park passes or a gift voucher from footwear and fitness retail store Running Edge.
