Tasmanian Visitor Survey Reflects Tourism Growth

Recently released, the latest set of results from the Tasmanian Visitor Survey reveal steady growth in visitor numbers to Tasmania, strong growth in total visitor spending and strong growth in average spend per night.

According to Tourism Tasmania, total visitors to Tasmania for the year ending March were 1.28 million, up two percent from 2017. Meanwhile, total visitor expenditure in Tasmania reached a record AUD2.37 billion (USD1.75 billion) with average spend per night increasing by seven percent.
