Tourism Australia Enters Strategic China Partnerships

Tourism Australia signed two strategic deals in China with Cathay Pacific Airways and Mafengwo.com, described as one of the top Chinese digital travel platforms.

The three-year marketing agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways is aimed at promoting Australia to high yielding business events professionals in Greater China.

With Mafengwo, Tourism Australia will establish a dedicated Australia travel page on the organisation’s app that provides Chinese consumers with information and products from Tourism Australia's key distribution partners in China.

According to Tourism Australia, China is Australia’s largest inbound market with 1.4 million visitors for the 12 months to March 2019 who spent AUD10.9 billion (USD8.02 billion).
