RES Funding Recipients Announced

69 diverse regional events across Western Australia (WA) have received funding as part of the 2018/19 Regional Events Scheme (RES).

The 2018/19 RES round included the addition of Regional Aboriginal Events Scheme (RAES), a funding pool of USD150,000 exclusively allocated to events delivering Aboriginal activities and experiences. Of the 69 successful applications, 10 were RAES events and 15 were new events not previously funded.

Tourism WA's RES is an annual funding round for smaller, developing regional events across the State. RES aims to develop and support smaller regional events across WA. Worth USD1 million in 2018/19, the scheme is funded by State Government through Tourism Western Australia and Royalties for Regions.

The 2019/20 RES round is due to open in October and close in December, for events that fall between July 01, 2019 and June 30, 2020.
