The new property will have around 250 rooms and include a restaurant, bar, health and beauty spa, gym and conference facilities that will extend over a 450 m2 area.
Space for 150 parking slots will also be included, while the hotel’s interior design will be provided by Italian architect Matteo Thun.
Zurich International Airport is located 10 minutes away from the hotel, while the city centre is 15 minutes away for guests.
The project comes through a lease agreement with Patrizier Beteiligungs AG, which will act as investor and developer with more joint projects planned.
“IntercityHotel Zurich Airport […] will also enable us to enhance our presence at major airport locations,” commented Joachim Marusczyk, managing director, IntercityHotel GmbH.
