Ryanair and ANPAC Sign Recognition Agreement for Italy

Ryanair confirmed that it has signed a Union Recognition agreement with Italian Airline Pilots Association (ANPAC), who will now be the sole representative body for Ryanair’s Italy-based pilots.

The airline welcomed the positive and constructive engagement of ANPAC which led to the formal signing of this recognition agreement within eight weeks of their first meeting.

This recognition agreement with ANPAC is significant because Italy currently accounts for almost 80 of Ryanair’s 400 current aircraft fleet and approximately 20 percent of the airline’s pilot body.

“The fact that we have delivered pay rises of up to 20 percent for most of our pilots, and union recognition agreements in our two largest markets (UK and Italy), which together represent over 45 percent of our pilot body, shows how constructive Ryanair is about developing relationships with those unions who wish to work with us and how much progress we have made in a short period of time,” noted Eddie Wilson, chief people officer, Ryanair.
