Brest Fortress to Open New Exposition Halls

Brest Fortress will set up three new exposition halls following major renovations with the financial assistance of the Belarus-Russia Union State.

The Union State plans to earmark RUB319.2 million (USD5.45 million) to implement 16 activities connected to the project.

The funds will be allocated to complete the repair and conservation of the ruins of the barracks of the 333rd infantry regiment, and the major overhaul of the bridge over the Mukhavets River near the Defence Museum and roofs of the Southern and Southwestern barracks.

Plans have been also made to repair and conserve the ruins of the White Palace, the engineering building, and the ruins near the Kholm Gate.
