There was a total of 496,747 air transport movements at Schiphol in 2017, an increase of 3.7 percent compared to 2016. The airport's cargo volume grew by 5.4 percent to 1.75 million tonnes. Schiphol offered 326 destinations in 2017, four more destinations than in 2016.
Eindhoven Airport also saw its passenger volume rise to 5.7 million, up 19.4 percent, whilst Rotterdam The Hague Airport registered a 5.3 percent rise in passenger numbers in 2017, to 1.7 million. Along with facilitating an improved passenger experience, Schiphol aims to elevate the quality of services across the airport’s expanding network to meet the requirements of today’s challenging market.
