European Hotel Room Revenues on the Up

The latest poll from hotel benchmarking service HotStats revealed that European hotels recorded a seven percent increase in profit per room in December 2017, marking a positive year of performance.

HotStats reported that Europe’s hotels maintained their growth, recording a 0.4 percent increase in room occupancy to 59.8 percent overall, as well as a 4.2 percent increase in achieved average room rate, which contributed to a 4.9 percent year-on-year RevPAR increase.

Room revenue recorded an increase in non-room revenues, including food and beverage which increased by 3.5 percent, conference and banqueting by 4.9 percent and leisure by 1.9 percent, on a per available room basis, which contributed to a 4.2 percent TrevPAR increase.
