The number of people using BSCA went up by eight percent compared with the same month year-on-year. 743,254 passengers crossed the tarmac at BSCA in April this year, versus 688,336 over the same period in 2017. On some days, almost 30,000 passengers passed through the airport, and occupancy rates exceeded 90 percent, a rise of one percent compared with April 2017.
In April this year, Spain knocked Italy off the number one spot in the list of most attractive destinations to/from BSCA. They were followed by France and Morocco. Lastly, Romania has been replaced in the top five by Poland, demonstrating the increasing interest in Central and Eastern European countries.
