airBaltic Reports 22 Percent May Passenger Increase

Latvian airline airBaltic transported 1,452,017 passengers during the first five months of this year, 22 percent more than in the same period in 2017.

In May specifically, the airline transported 386 353 passengers on its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East, also 22 percent more than the same period in 2017.

During the first five months of this year, airBaltic has operated 21,445 flights including 5,149 flights in May alone, 14 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, during first five months of this year stood at 71 percent, but in May specifically, it reached 75 percent.
