The available seat kilometres were up seven percent over 2017 while, at the same time, sales increased by seven percent. As compared to July 2017, the seat load factor decreased slightly by 0.1 percent to 86.3 percent.
Cargo capacity increased 1.8 percent year-on-year, while cargo sales decreased by 2.9 percent in revenue tonne-kilometre terms. As a result, the Cargo load factor showed a corresponding reduction, decreasing by 3.1 percent to 64.1 percent.
The Network Airlines Lufthansa German Airlines, SWISS and Austrian Airlines carried 10.2 million passengers in July - 5.2 percent more than in the prior-year period. Compared to 2017 the available seat kilometres increased by 4.1 percent in June.
