Ryanair’s August Traffic Grows to 13.8 Million Customers

Ryanair released August traffic statistics, reflecting a total growth of nine percent to 13.8 million with a 97 percent load factor.

The airline’s traffic grew five percent to 13.3 million customers with a 97 percent load factor. Meanwhile, Lauda traffic was 0.5 million customers with a 92 percent load factor. According to the company, ATC staff shortages and a pilot strike on August 10 caused almost 550 flight cancellations in August compared to just 27 cancellations in August 2017.

Kenny Jacobs, chief marketing officer, Ryanair, concluded, “Ryanair’s August traffic (which includes Lauda traffic for the first time) grew by nine percent to 13.8 million customers, while our load factor was unchanged at 97 percent, on the back of even lower fares.”
