This November 2019 had the highest volume of tourist arrivals ever recorded in Cyprus during the specific month.
For the period of January – November 2019 arrivals of tourists totalled 3,866,447 compared to 3,832,062 in the corresponding period of 2018, recording an increase of 0,9 percent and outnumbering the total arrivals ever recorded in Cyprus during the first eleven months of the year.
Tourist arrivals from the UK increased by 10,4 percent in November compared to November 2018 while an increase of 8,9 percent was recorded for tourists from Russia and 59,3 percent increase from Israel. A decrease of six percent in tourist arrivals from Greece and 33,5 percent from Germany were recorded.
The UK constitutes the main source of tourism for Cyprus for November 2019, with a proportion of 32,6 percent while arrivals from Russia comprise 13,7 percent of total arrivals, from Greece 8,6 percent and from Israel 7,7 percent.
For a percentage of 70,6 percent of tourists, the purpose of their trip in November 2019 was holidays, for 13,9 percent to visit friends and relatives and for 15,5 percent for business reasons.
