Euromonitor: Eurozone GDP is Booming

In its Global Economic Forecasts: Q3 2017 report, Euromonitor has predicted that the global real GDP growth forecast for 2017-2018 will be 3.5 percent, above the 3.2 percent annual growth in 2016 but considerably below the pre-crisis growth levels.

In particular, the Eurozone economy is booming.

Building upon the strong performance in the first half of the year, Euromonitor lifted the GDP growth forecast to 1.8 percent for the year and 1.7 percent in 2018.

Meanwhile, the UK’s outlook is not as positive.

The baseline real GDP growth projection remains at 1.5 percent this year, while in 2018, this is estimated to drop to just 1.2 percent.
