Fourth Record Year for Slovenian Tourism

2017 emerged as Slovenia’s fourth consecutive record year for tourism.

By November 2017, the number of tourist overnight stays had grown by eight percent in comparison to November 2016, while tourist arrivals exceeded the number recorded in November 2016 by 10 percent.

In the month under review, the highest number of tourist arrivals was recorded from Italy at 31,277, an increase of more than 14 percent in comparison to the same period in 2016.

Austria followed with 23,867 tourist arrivals and a 10 percent increase compared to November 2016.

The number of tourists from Croatia increased by almost five percent, reaching 11,965.

Other markets with significant growth included Germany with 9,846 guests, up 11 percent, Serbia, up three percent, South Korea, and other Asian countries.
