Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam to Cross the Atlantic

Following an inaugural season island-hopping throughout the Caribbean, Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam is now anticipated to cross the Atlantic in April 2019, spending the summer and autumn exploring northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

The ship will homeport in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for the summer, offering seven- and 14-day itineraries to Norway’s famous fjords and North Cape, the Baltic’s, and Iceland.

In September, Nieuw Statendam is scheduled to visit the Mediterranean on a 12-day cruise from Amsterdam to Italy’s Civitavecchia, Rome. The ship is then expected to depart for a 14-day cruise back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the US.

“[…] By offering nearly six months of cruising in the region, we’re able to take the ship from Iceland to Greece and everywhere in between […],” stated Orlando Ashford, president, Holland America Line.
