New Livery Design for Costa Cruises Fleet

Marking its 70th anniversary, Costa Cruises’ fleet is set to feature a new livery that pays tribute to Italy, the cruise line’s homeland since its foundation.

A stylised Italian flag, as well as the name of the ship, is due to be painted on the bow in a specially designed new font and with larger lettering than previously used.

The first ship to display the new livery, thus far, is Costa Mediterranea, with the logo having already been painted. During a port call at Marseille, France, on April 05, the left side of the bow was painted, and the day after, when calling at Savona, Italy, the same was done on the right side.

By the end of the year, the rest of the Costa fleet is scheduled to be painted. The project also covers the new ships under construction, including Costa Venezia and Costa Smeralda, scheduled to be delivered during March 2019 and October 2019 respectively.

Soon the Italian flag will also wave at the bow of Costa’s ships, as well as on their stern, as the fleet sails to around 250 destinations across the globe.
