Vranckx began his career as operations manager at Sabena, before joining Swissair as senior manager, network planning, Europe. He later held several departments within Lufthansa Group. His latest position included leading Lufthansa Group’s Asia Pacific sales.
Vranckx is set to join Brussels Airlines as of May 01 and will head the finance department, which includes accounting, controlling, legal, purchasing and facilities. The IT division, aero-political and HR units will also be placed under his responsibility.
