Ethiopian Airlines Expands Airbus Fleet

Ethiopian Airlines has placed an order for 10 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, building on its status as the first African carrier to operate the type and enabling further development of its expanding long-haul route network.

The Addis Ababa-based airline currently operates four A350s, with the latest order set to support its growth strategy and objectives. The carrier’s wide body jet is configured in a two class layout with enhanced comfort features in its spacious, quiet interior.

“[…] The performance, operational and cost efficiencies we have achieved with our initial A350-900s have resulted in these additional 10 aircraft order placement and thereby suffice our ever-expanding global network,” explained Tewolde GebreMariam, group CEO, Ethiopian Airlines.
