On August 18, Ethiopian Airlines’ service from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport to Bahrain International Airport was resumed following the hiatus of the itinerary since 2011.

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) celebrated the relaunch of the three times weekly service with a ceremony, whereby officials from BAC, Bahrain Ministry of Interior, Bahrain Airport Services, and the airline were in attendance.

Ayman Zainal, chief commercial officer, BAC, emphasised, “Ethiopian Airlines has been operating in the region for decades. Its level of efficiency and operational experience are among the best in the African continent. We are very happy to have these routes added to our scheduled flights which provide added convenience and options for travellers, including the large Ethiopian community in Bahrain.”
