The event organiser revealed that it chose to bring the luxury exhibition to Brazil due to the increased spending of Brazilians on trips abroad.
The number of Brazilians with more than BRL1 million (USD300,000) investments grew by over 17,000 during 2017, an increase of five percent year-on-year.
In January alone, Brazilians spent USD2 billion on trips abroad - 26.7 percent higher than the same period of 2016.
ILTM Latin America previously known as Travelweek São Paulo is expected to not just reach agents representing Brazilian clients, but also Latin America’s wealthiest, choosing their guests from 12 regional countries and 25 cities across Brazil.
Simon Mayle, event director, ILTM Latin America, noted, “With more helicopter pads than New York, the region’s wealthy are drawn to São Paulo. From here, they can literally travel the world, spending millions of dollars on behalf of their clients.”
