According to the latest Construction Pipeline Trend Report for the Middle East, research analysts at Lodging Econometrics (LE) state at the end of the second quarter (Q2) of this year, the hotel construction pipeline in the Middle East declined once again to 531 projects/152,448 rooms.

According to the latest published Construction Pipeline Trend Report for the Middle East, analysts at Lodging Econometrics (LE) state at the end of the third quarter  (Q3) of this year, the hotel construction pipeline in the Middle East declined again to 579 projects/168,042 rooms. The Middle East’s pipeline is down seven percent by projects and six percent by rooms year-over-year (YOY).  This is the fifth consecutive quarter the pipeline has declined since reaching its cyclical peak by projects in Q2 2019.   

Analysts at Lodging Econometrics (LE) report that at the close of the first quarter (Q1) of this year, Europe’s hotel construction pipeline expanded to near-record highs with 1,840 projects and 294,047 rooms, a 10 percent increase in projects and a 15 percent increase in rooms, year-over-year (YOY).
