The member states of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) have approved the transformation of the Code of Ethics for Tourism into an international convention, a landmark document covering responsibilities of all tourism stakeholders in the development of sustainable tourism.

Zurab Pololikashvili has assumed the position of secretary general World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), for the period 2018 — 2021.
